This is what f-ed up our country. This is what started and caused the recession. And what happened to the banks that refused to give out these loans? If politicians want bankers to stop lending ‘recklessly’ then why are they complaining they refuse to lend now?

I am curious if bankers caused the recession by lending to all – now they have stopped and are being conservative in lending and holding on to more money – how can politicians complain about that as well?

Seems a bit odd to me.
V for Vendetta – Barclays and HSBC didn’t receive a penny from the government and they are the ones announcing profits. Also haven’t Northern Rock already paid back the government? I may be wrong about the latter but I think they might have done
